Degree Offered: M.A. - General-Experimental Psychology Format: Campus Program Description: The Master of Arts in General Psychology program provides a strong foundation for students who intend to continue their graduate work in any area of psychology; solid training for students who wish to obtain a master's degree and apply their acquired skills and knowledge in various work settings; and an opportunity for non-psychologist professionals who wish to become more knowledgeable about the application of psychology to their professional interests. The MA in General Psychology may be completed on a full- or part-time basis. Accreditation: New England Association of Schools and Colleges; Board of Higher Education of the State of CT Eligibility Requirements: The applicant must hold a bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) from an accredited collegiate institution and should have achieved a B average in undergraduate courses. An undergraduate concentration in psychology, including courses in introductory psychology, abnormal psychology, statistics, research methods, and history and systems in psychology, is desirable. Official scores for the General GRE (Graduate Record Examination) and the Psychology Subject GRE Examination are required. International Student Requirements: International transcripts must be evaluated by WES to assess U.S. equivalency, for more information visit www.wes.org. International applicants need to submit their TOEFL official scores. Min score: 550 paper-based; 79-80 iBT. IELTS is also accepted; min score 6.5. A certified Guarantor’s Statement of financial support is also required.
